ASQ has set up and operates a comprehensive Awards Program to recognize leadership, technical achievement, and distinguished service to the profession and Society. The Society Awards Program provides a systematic approach for the creation and overall control of society awards and society, regional, and unit scholarships.
This program is successful because of dedicated volunteer leaders!
The Lancaster Medal is presented to the individual who has been recognized by the committee for dedication and outstanding contributions to the International Fraternity of Quality Professionals.

- Committee member terms are 4 years with the majority of work from October – November each year.
- Committees are made up of a chair and 8 committee members.
